TEH-ROY

You know, I almost didn’t reblog that last piece of artwork because I didn’t like the art style at first glance, but then it just suddenly clicked.

It’s a great piece.

2. First console you owned?

I think it was an SNES if I recall correctly. I remember Super Mario Bros. 3 being my earliest game, but it was the All Stars version.

6. Favorite genre?

Most likely platformers, big thanks to Mario. My favorite thing with platformers are that they are about reflexes above all else, requiring quick movements and button presses to the situation at hand to make jumps. It’s like an obstacle course, and I love speed-running, so platforming games are always a joy for me.

19. Do you use strategy guides?

It very, very heavily depends on the situation. Most games these days aren’t very cryptic so I try my best to go through with them, but if I’m stuck on one part for hours I’d rather just find out what to do by going online instead of having to waste time figuring out something I can’t do on my own. Modern games don’t usually have this problem, but this applies heavily to older games, especially JRPGs.

24. Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?

Uuuuuh very hard to remember in recent memory, but I think I’d have to go with the Ice Titan from Kingdom Hea-

You know what, fuck it, I just remembered something and I am going to gush about it.

Mario & Luigi. Generally between these games, I rank them from best to worst by Superstar Saga>Partners in Time>/=Dream Team>Bowser’s Inside Story. It’s a pretty unpopular way to rank them (Given that everyone loves Bowser’s Inside Story much more than Partners in Time or Dream Team), but the fact of the matter is, besides Bowser’s Inside Story not being all that great to me, Partners in Time had a very impactful and unforgettable final boss experience. Gushing all in italics, so if you don’t care to read ( Or want a spoiler to a last gen game for some reason ) stop now.

Those of you who played it know that the true final boss ends up being the Elder Shroob sister, and this one was a doozy the first time I played. The music set the tone very well, giving a very daunting feel to the whole thing. Maybe I wasn’t very good at the game when I was younger, but I remember spending almost an hour in that boss. Near the end, almost all my sanity too, as when I was near victory, I had two very tired brothers who were almost wiped out (Critical HP there) as well as a completely exhausted item count. The music really helped, as all hope seemed lost, but with my final strike, I managed to pull through. That kind of tension doesn’t come a lot in a game, but man did it feel great to be so near defeat, yet pull through and take down the big bad boss.

Something about that experience is just unforgettable to me. Unforgettable experiences should always be cherished.

FEEL FREE TO REBLOG/ADD EXTRA QUESTIONS AS WELL!

hello please send me some im bored,

Okay, I’m all caught up with Gravity Falls! Now I just gotta find a place to watch Steven Universe, catch up with Adventure Time, and maybe watch that Simpsons Guy thing since I wanna see how bad it is.

Also, it’s been reaffirmed that I’ll take pretty much anything with cool shades.
